Work, work, work

I've never been so busy as while I've been unemployed. There are a lot of days when I've done nothing, but when there's a to-do list, it's a good one. This week has been pretty busy... but first, I wanted to post the finished product of the sod laying:
Apart from daily chores, I've had two major projects going on. The first is preparation for a yard sale we'll have in a couple of weeks and the other was installing a back splash in my parent's kitchen. Thankfully the kitchen project only took me two days. The results, I thought, were rather impressive. They were rather large tin tiles, so even though it doesn't look like it was a difficult task, the measuring and cutting was the real pain.

The house has also been in a bit of disarray due to the upcoming yard sale. Things are all over the place while they wait to be priced. It looks like a small war zone in the cat room. Jillian has done a ton more than I have in the way of preparation. I've priced a few things and power-washed a bunch of items that we pulled out of the shed at my house in Mobile. She basically cleaned out the whole garage today by herself while I was finishing up the kitchen project. I can't wait for this mess to be over with. It's stressing Jillian out.
The up side to the garage sale prep is that I have come across a bunch of stuff from my childhood that was in storage boxes. I even found a few photos from my youth baseball days. I especially like the one with my dad and brother Jonathan in yellow shorts. Ah, the good ol' days.
