Groom's Golf Scramble

Although I don't have many notes about the event, I thought I should write something about my last game of golf as an unmarried man. I'm not an avid golfer nor does this carry any sporting significance, but it was my last family and friends outing before the wedding.
Despite the golf course being at the bottom of the hill from everyone's chalets, there were a few people who were unable to timely arrive for our eight am tee time; myself included. Though not a factor in my tardiness, there were some who had been slowed by a link to alcohol from the night before.
If I can remember correctly, we had three groups. The first was my Dad, Uncle, cousin Mark and Jilllian's Uncle. The second group comprised of Bo, Chandler, Joey and Kevin. JD, Jillian's brothers Jeff and Jarred and myself made up the last group.
I'll say that the course was very interesting, especially the back nine. I didn't take any pictures, though I should have. The front nine were very open and relatively straight. The back portion wound through the valley of the great smokey mountains and ran along a number of streams. I will admit, it was not the most pleasant of courses to play. Thankfully you play the best shot in a scramble. Despite not playing golf often, JD and I had some pretty impressive shots/puts. I've included JD's roughly 15ft near miss.
Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience. I only ended up a little burned on my face for the wedding b/c I forgot the sunscreen Jillian had packed specifically for this occasion. The majority of us also enjoyed some overpriced coors light from the concession stand as well as some excellent cheeseburgers. I believe our group ended up one or two over par, which I believe was just good enough to put us in third place.
