Back to "Work"

It has happened. All that I feared in life. I have moved back in with my parents. Though temporary, I feared the day would come. Fortunately the move doesnt even feel perminant due to the fact that I sleep on the couch. Seeing as I just renewed my spirit for finding a job, the hunt has gone well so far. I started Wed. morning and already have an interview on Monday and a contact for a medium sized CPA firm in Mobile.

You know, I didnt always believe people when they said its not what you know but who you know, but the last 2 years have proved that to me in life. I have seen complete morons get extremely nice jobs in big cities for big companies because daddy has a patent on the cotton gin or some rediculous shit like that. Anyway, it seems to be working in my favor now. I never really knew my Dad was such a social butterfly until recently when everyone I see comes up to me and says hello and seems to be willing to help me find a job. Even homeless people have interrupted their own begging to ask if they could help me with my job search.

Along with the excitement of living with the parents, my social life has all but died. I've gone out twice since Christmas... once with Heather and once with JD.( That statement is not an insult to either heather or jd... I had a GREAT time with both of them) TWICE SINCE CHRISTMAS!!! Now I'll be the first to admit that I wasnt a party animal throughout college... but there is NOTHING going on down here. God, I want a job so bad... just for human interaction. I'm nearly foaming at the mouth. HOWEVER, I have had the chance to play golf several times with my brother Jonathan. Andrew (youngest brother) and I have also been able to hang out alot... which I've wanted to do for years, but haven't had the time, being away at college and everything. That is a positive note.

I'm starting to remember what it is like to have real home cooked meals almost daily.... and I get family news... like... "hey your cousin is having a child" as soon as everyone else does instead of "adam... your cousin had her kid... oh what... we forgot to tell you she was pregnant?... sorry"
To all my friends still in Auburn or that have moved elsewhere... you are missed...

All for now ... PEACE!
