The Azalea Trail Run has not really been enjoyable since I was 12 b/c I'm not a huge fan of long distance running. The arts and crafts festival however is still great. Really good stuff from all over the country, and I completely forgot how much I enjoyed going to them. Great paintings, sculptures, toys, etc. and the weather just couldn't be better. The crowds aren't too big and there is an ice cream parlor downtown that is perfect for the mid-day break. Even though it's usually a little warm...a nice breeze is likely seconds away and with the azaleas in full bloom there is a sweet scent in the air. Just an overall great atmosphere.... and if you have the cash, time and luck... a good place to pick up a one of a kind treasure. Its amazing that I forgot about this while I was away at Auburn.
