Intramural Highlights Round 2

I'm comforted by the fact that our team was not completely humiliated tonight. Yes we still lost, BUT it was only by 8 points (which sounds worse than it was) I had a 50ish yard touchdown run in the second half. The most suprising thing was that i completely "jooked" two people. I didn't even know I was capable of such manuvers. with 20 seconds left on the clock, following a very fortunate interception, I left QB to drop into a receiver spot. 65 yards from a touchdown and a possible 2 point conversion to tie the game, the decision was made to run the hook and ladder. For those of you unfamiliar with this play, it consists of a short pass followed by a toss to a nearby receiver who "goes the distance". This planned worked well until the other reciever ran too far down field. I caught the ball, began to toss in the direction he should have been, only to realize there was no one there. Fortunately that didn't stop the defense from running towards where the play should have gone. I kept the ball and started running. "5" (*I can almost hear ESPN's NFL Classic's recap music playing in my head as I type this) I was 20 yards from the endzone "4" when two defensive players met me "3" from the goal line. I tossed it back to my closest teammate "2" who made it about 5 yards before he was caught '1'... "0". 15 yards from O.T. and the glory of a comeback run.

Next week... we may actually win
