Alot of little fun facts about my trip to birmingham this past weekend. My Jeep broke down about 30 miles away from my destination. No biggie... it does this all the time so I dont get frustrated about it anymore. It was overheating so I had to add oil and coolant and change the thermostat. Though the trip that was supposed to take about 2 1/2 hours... I made it in about 6.Notre Dame lost.... WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!!
I think everyone in the country celebrated 7 seconds too early... and I was one of them.
Bama won... whoopidee doo. who can't beat Ol' Piss?
Auburn won, but I wanted us to score 70+ like USC did... oh well... bring on LSU.
Side note: John Geislinger's dad makes some of the best home-made pizza I have ever had... it had like honey and sugar in the batter. He said he's been working on the recipe for about 10 years... and it shows
(Update - Upon hearing this story a friend said she would make her deep dish pizza for me so I could compare it.... SWEET.. free food. I love the competitive nature of some people.)
Friday and Saturday night were pretty entertaining. We went to see "Live Wire" both nights... (I know the sister of the lead singer). They are a pretty good bar band. 'Innisfree' is a decent bar in Birmingham. It's not all I thought it would be with the hype it got. It was WAY TOO CROWDED. I managed to get 6 beers the whole night... and that was b/c I got them 2 at a time. I did however run into a couple folks from HS; Jody Welborn and Richard Fuqua. I hadn't seen them in ages. I did like the fact that the Girl/Guy ratio was in my favor and all the girls were VERY attractive.
Also... an old buddy from auburn came up to me and we chatted about me moving to b'ham and looking for a job... and he said he could possibly get me a job with his dad's firm. Any job would be great so I'll play the name dropping game if I have to.
On the way back from B'ham my car broke down yet again. It sounds pathetic now, doesn't it.
I had to let it cool for a couple hours and then drove it home...
THE END
I'm sure there will be plenty more stories after my trip to LSU..
